Highly recommend. They make you feel extremely welcome. It’s a beautiful space and most importantly they are highly skilled. Kat the owner seems to be a hair whisperer and knows exactly what you need and the people that she hires are very well trained and talented. I had Liv do my tie in extensions and she transformed my head and it looked perfect. It’s a scary decision when you change salons but I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to find a new hair home and know you will walk out looking your best.

Kat Chelko

I’m Kat, a professional hair artist with 15 years of experience, but my love for creativity started long before that. As a child, I was always drawn to creating something unique, starting with cutting my stuffed animals’ hair and giving them their own style. I wanted them to stand out, just as I did. I was born with a port wine stain birthmark covering half my face, which led to Sturge-Weber syndrome and glaucoma in my left eye. After four eye surgeries, multiple lip surgeries, and over 300 laser treatments, I learned that true beauty comes from embracing who you are.

MEET THE OWNER ?✨???

Hi, I’m Kat, the heart behind Kat Pro Studio! ?? With 15 years of experience as a professional hair artist, my journey in the beauty industry started with a pair of Hello Kitty scissors and some very stylish stuffed animals. Even as a kid, I loved creating unique looks that made them—and me—stand out.

Born with a port wine stain birthmark covering half my face, I faced Sturge-Weber syndrome, glaucoma, and countless surgeries growing up. These experiences taught me a powerful lesson: true beauty shines when you embrace your authentic self! ?

High school is where my love for hair and makeup blossomed, helping me express myself and sometimes hide parts of me I wasn’t ready to share. After graduating from the Aveda Institute of Denver, I navigated a challenging path, including emergency eye surgery and early career detours, but I never lost sight of my dream.

From working at MAC Cosmetics to running a home salon to eventually opening my own studio, every step led me to where I am today. With the love and encouragement of my husband, I found the confidence to build something bigger—a space that radiates kindness, empowerment, and authenticity.

? At Kat Pro Studio, my goal is to uplift both stylists and clients. When you walk through our doors, you’re stepping into a space designed to make you feel truly beautiful, inside and out.
